What is TONUS?

TONUS Technology [patent pending] was developed by the artist and designer Nimrod Eilam.
It is an innovative way to adhere two contrasting materials -natural wood and resin - using a unique and new technology.
This adhesion process results in a finished product that combines the classic, aromatic warmth of wood with the transparent, coolness of resin while inviting the play of the the third element - light.

One can incorporate TONUS in almost any design: tables, chairs, chests, cupboards, cabinets, benches, kitchens and bathrooms. Other creative uses include wall or floor tiles, entry way doors, as well as interior doors, partition walls, stairs and of course a wide variety of light fixtures.

The Resin manufactured in a special factory that allows the character of the natural resin to be maintained. The resin is durable, has mechanical strength and full adhesion to the wood. The unique quality of the resin makes it capable of adapting to the natural fluctuations of the wood.
